General Information About The Lottery Process
Vista Grande Charter High School (VGHS) is a public charter school, open to any New Mexico resident in grades 9-12 regardless of race, color, gender, creed, or religious affiliation. If there are more applicants than available seats, we will select students randomly through the school’s lottery process. If seats are still available after the lottery, they will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Siblings of current students and children of staff members have lottery preference, as per state regulations. A lottery is required when the number of students wanting to enroll exceeds the number of seats available at the school.
